Overview
Founded in 1957, the University of Waterloo began as an engineering university offering co-op programs. Today, the University of Waterloo is Canada's top institution for experiential learning and employer-student connections. The university has become a leading global research-intensive university, renowned for entrepreneurship and innovation. Known for its Science and Engineering programs, the university offers more than 100 undergraduate programs. The University is also home to biomedical and mechatronics programs as well as the largest robotics and automation research groups in Canada.
University of Waterloo also has the largest co-op program in North America with 26,000 students working at more than 8,000 companies across the world every year.
ADMISSIONS
Minimum final grade of 70%. First or Second Division in CBSE,CISCE or any other pre-university certificate. Admission will be based on 10th Board exam results, final 11th grade results and predicted 12th board results. English language proficiency test will also be required.

SCHOLARSHIPS & FINANCIAL AID
The University of Waterloo offers many entrance scholarships and awards to outstanding students every year. These scholarships are open to first year full-time students and all students are automatically considered for most awards.
STUDENT HOUSING
The University of Waterloo offers guaranteed residence to first year and transfer students. With approximately 5000 beds available to students, the rent ranges from $6,900 to $8,500. The dorm style residences come without a kitchen so students have to take a meal plan which can cost an additional $6,200 to $7,200 per year. The university is currently building a 500-bed residence.
